Assignment: Explain a mistake you will never forget.
When I was five years old, I always thought I knew everything in the world. One day I went to my neighborhood, a little girl’s home. Her parents bought a small basket of jasmine bud. But because of the dull weather, the jasmine wasn’t flower but bud. They seemed to be very disappointed at this because they couldn’t make them into jasmine tea. I asked my friend why we couldn’t make the jasmine bud blossom. She also thought so. What should we do? Suddenly I had an idea. When the sun shines on the bud, it will blossom. It must be the heat that makes it do. Such being the case, we could heat the bud by vapor and make them blossom. (You can imagine how stupid the idea is.) After about thirty minutes passed, there was only cooked bud full of water. Suddenly my pal cried and said her parents might spank her. I was very worried.
Now whenever I think of this thing, I feel it is the stupidest and most ridiculest thing. It is the thing that makes me know there are many, many things I don’t know in the world. The world is infinite. No one can know the world clearly. Only to study is to know more.
