One student told me laughing out loud was immoral.
“What?” I asked, suddenly self-conscious. “Are you sure?”
“Yes. If no one else is laughing, it is immoral.”
“Do you really mean immoral?” I pressed.
“Oh,” he said. “Maybe I’m using the word incorrectly.”
